Qantas Airlines
Qantas is Australia’s largest domestic and international airline and the second oldest airline in the world. Qantas Link and Jetstar are subsidiaries of Qantas. Together the group operate around 5,600 domestic flights a week, serving 59 city and regional destinations. Domestic fair types include Economy and Business with a range of Saver and Flexi options available.
Cabin Classes
Economy
Economy cabins contain Qantas international standard slimline seats. A selection of warm meals, snacks and drinks are served onboard based around the time of day. On A330-200 flights passengers can enjoy a seat back 9 inch screen with a selection of programs to choose from. On B767-300 and B737-400 flights, fixed overhead monitors screen pre-selected programs. Economy passengers are allowed 1 piece of 23 kg checked baggage. Qantas Club members and Silver and Gold Frequent Flyers are allowed 1 piece of 32 kg checked baggage, and Platinum Frequent Flyers are allowed 2 pieces of 32 kg (each) checked baggage.
Business Class
Business Class is available on new B747 aircraft and selected A330 flights between Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Here you will find 22 inch wide Millennium Business seats with adjustable headrests and lumbar support. Business Class cuisine includes a selection of meals created by celebrity Chef Neil Perry. Premium beers, wines and spirits are also available. On A330-200 aircraft passengers can enjoy a 10.6 inch screen with a selection of programs to choose from. On B767-300 and B737-400 flights, fixed overhead monitors screen pre-selected programs. Business passengers, including Qantas Club, are allowed 1 piece of 32kg checked baggage. Silver and Gold Frequent Flyers and Platinum Frequent Flyers are allowed 2 pieces of 32 kg (each) checked baggage.
Check-in Options
Qantas now offers mobile check-in and online check-in from 24 hours up until 60 minutes before departure time for all Qantas and Qantas Link domestic bookings. If checking in at the airport you can do so at the Qantas Kiosk by using the touch screen. Platinum, Gold and Silver Frequent Flyers as well as Qantas Club members may automatically check-in by swiping their Qantas card or Q Card Readers, now available at Perth, Sydney (T3), Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide domestic airports.
Rewards Program
The Qantas Frequent Flyer rewards program allows members to earn points when they fly with Qantas or shop with their partners. Accumulated points can be used to purchase items at the Frequent Flyer online store or for flights and seat upgrades.
Lounges
Qantas Domestic lounges are available to Business, Platinum and Oneworld Emerald members. Qantas Club lounges in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offer members an enhanced food and beverage service as well as complimentary wireless internet access. Business lounges are available in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra domestic terminal. Conference and meeting rooms with teleconference equipment are also available in these locations to all customers at very competitive rates.
