Air New Zealand
Air New Zealand is the national airline of New Zealand, flying to 25 domestic destinations and 24 international destinations in 15 countries across Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. The airline offers a broad range of fares which vary depending on the destination. Fare types include three flexible versions of Economy, Premium Economy and Business Premier.
Cabin Classes
Economy
Air New Zealand offers a range of Economy fares on Tasman and Pacific flights including Seat, Seat + Bag, The Works and Works Deluxe fares. Each fare type varies in fees, baggage and extras. Economy cabins contain seats with a pitch range of 32 to 34 inches, depending on the aircraft. Long haul flights also have twin seats and sky couches available. Depending on your fare type, meals, snacks and beverages are either complimentary or available for purchase. International flights on Boeing 747, 777, 767 and A320 aircraft offer individual on-demand entertainment systems. Long haul international flights feature 8.4 inch personal screens and in-seat remotes. Only certain fares on Tasman and Pacific flights offer movie entertainment. All economy fares allow 7 kg of hand luggage. Tasman and Pacific flights allow 1 piece of 23kg checked baggage for Seat + Bag and The Works fares, and 2 pieces of 23 kg checked baggage (each) for Works Deluxe fares. Long Haul Economy fares allow 1 piece of 23 kg checked baggage.
Premium Economy
Premium Economy fares are only available on long-haul flights. Cabins contain reclinable seats with a pitch range of 38 to 41 inches depending on the aircraft, as well as 8.4 inch personal screens. 777-300 aircraft feature the roomier Spaceseat. Long-haul passengers are provided with amenity kits including socks, eyeshades, earplugs, toothbrush and Pacifica Skincare lip balm. The in-flight menu features unique New Zealand dining and New Zealand wines. 42 Below cocktails are available on long-haul flights. Passengers can also access the self-service refreshment bar for drinks and snacks. The Video on Demand entertainment system offers passengers a large choice of movies, TV shows and music. Premium Economy passengers are allowed 2 pieces of 7 kg hand luggage (total) and 2 pieces of 23 kg checked baggage (each) – applicable only to Air New Zealand flights. Business Premier
Business Premier is available on 747 and 777 aircraft. These cabins include 22 inch wide leather armchairs that convert into full flat beds. Cabins also include in-seat power, in-seat remotes, 10.4 inch personal screens and separate ottoman footrests. Passengers are provided with large pillows, duvets, sleep sheets and amenity kits including socks, eyeshades, earplugs, toothbrush kit, lip balm, eye gel and a pen. The in-flight menu features unique New Zealand dining and New Zealand wines. 42 Below cocktails and a self-service refreshment bar are available on long-haul flights. The Video on Demand entertainment system offers passengers a large choice of movies, TV shows and music. Business Premier passengers are allowed 2 pieces of 7kg hand luggage (total) and 3 pieces of 23 kg checked baggage (each).
Check-in Options
Air New Zealand allows passengers travelling from Auckland to Australia to check-in at the airport’s self service kiosks. For flights going to, through and from the U.S.A, check-in closes two hours before departure time. For all other international flights, check-in closes 90 minutes before departure time.
Rewards Program
The Koru loyalty program allows members to earn points when they fly with Air New Zealand. Members can use points to purchase one of the four tiered memberships, which allow various privileges including upgrades, extra baggage allowances and lounge access.
Lounges
Air New Zealand has lounges located at regional and domestic airports in New Zealand, as well as Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Brisbane, Sydney, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Nadi and Rarotonga international airports. Here, Koru members can enjoy light refreshment and bar facilities, Barista made coffee, business facilities, showers and electronic game consoles. Lounge facilities vary between destinations.
