Christchurch International Airport is the main access point for New Zealand’s South Island. The airport consists of a domestic terminal and an international terminal within the one building, however construction is underway of a new domestic terminal building.

Airport Facilities: Facilities at the airport include shopping, dining, a gaming arcade, parenting rooms, showers, postal services, WiFi access and, across the road, the International Antarctic Centre.

Money Exchange: The international terminal has five Travelex stores offering money exchange, Cash Passports, phone cards and electronic money transfer.

Transfers between Terminals: As international and domestic flights share the one building, transportation between terminals is not required. If transferring from international to domestic, you will need to claim your baggage and re-check it at the connections desk within the International Arrivals Hall.
