Flight Centre was originally founded by Aussies, Graham ‘Skroo’ Turner, Geoff ‘Spy’ Lomas & Bill James in the UK in 1973 with the launch of a bus tour company called Top Deck Tours. In 1980 they opened a discount travel store in Sydney, which marked the beginning of Flight Centre’s success in Australia and around the world. Since the 1980’s the Flight Centre group has continued to expand and they now operate over 2000 shops in 11 countries. As well as the leading brand ‘Flight Centre,’ the company operates a number of other well-know niche travel brands.
The Flight Centre Foundation is at the heart of Flight Centre Limited's corporate and social responsibility efforts. We aim to continuously build on our good work to ensure all funds raised will deliver the greatest benefits to our chosen causes. We support Foodbank Australia, Bush Heritage Australia, Redkite and Young Care. We want to open up the world to provide a better future for our people and our corporate charities, through increased awareness and support. Together we are working towards a better future.
