The shrine was built in 1956 to appease the supposed evil forces that were playing havoc with the construction of what is now the Grand Hyatt Erawan. Shining brightly with an array of blue tiles and gold, the shrine houses a statue of the Hindu God Brahma and is surrounded by vibrant yellow blooms.
Those seeking artistic success should visit the Ganesha Shrine located outside CentralWorld Plaza. The shrine features a gold statue of Ganesha, a Hindu God with an elephant head. Ganesha is commonly associated with sciences and the arts and as such people regularly visit the shrine to be blessed with success and good fortune. Red lotus flowers are commonly bought to the shrine as an offering. At night the shrine glows with golden light making for a stunning photo opportunity.
