Climate
Fiji’s warm and tropical climate makes it an ideal holiday destination any time of year. Suva is only slightly cooler than Nadi but receives more rain. Fiji’s wet season takes place from November to April, during which time the islands receive most of their annual rainfall. The best time to travel to Fiji is during the dry season, which occurs from May to October.
Food
Traditional Fijian food consists largely of cassava, coconut, fish, sweet potato and other vegetables. An abundance of spicy curries reflects the Indian influence in Fiji's culture and history. On special occasions, locals may perform a 'Lovo', which is a feast of traditional Fijian food cooked in the ground.
