from $868*It’s only a matter of time before Delhi’s fragrant spice markets and eateries tempt your tastebuds into trying something exotic. With so many food stalls and restaurants, choosing a place to eat in Delhi can be quite overwhelming at first. For a traditional Indian meal start at Delhi Haat, an open-air food and craft bazaar located in North Delhi. Each food stall here represents a different state of India, allowing you to literally taste the entire country – and at an affordable price. The stall that has the biggest line of customers is your best bet for a delicious and safe meal. Music performances, dances and festivals also take place at Delhi Haat, adding to the liveliness of this vibrant Bazaar.
If you’re not sure as to what to eat in Delhi there is always an abundance of westernised fast food chains to get you by. Italian and Chinese food is also incredibly popular in India, and of a great quality. Naturally though, you’ll never try better Indian food than in Delhi. Here the Dahl is fresh, the butter chicken is thick and the Tandoori chicken is bright. For a unique Delhi dining experience, follow the locals lead and eat your meal with your right hand.
Still have room for dessert? Everyone in Delhi raves about the cakes on offer at Foodaholics. Try one of their decadent cakes, such as the famous Hazelnut Royaltine, and discover what all of the fuss is about.

from $889*Immerse yourself within Delhi’s modern life by spending a day shopping in some of the city’s hot spots. Markets and stores are littered throughout the city, but Delhi’s best shopping areas can be limited down to Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk and Koral Bagh markets. Of the three, Connaught Place, also known as Rajiv Chowk, is Delhi’s most popular shopping hub. Here you can find a range of clothes, accessories, electronic goods, books and handicrafts. While exploring the circular markets, be sure to visit some of the area’s leading art galleries.
Jewellery lovers will find the markets in Karol Bagh hard to resist. This area has some of the busiest roads in Delhi and is commonly crowded with both locals and tourists. Though it may seem intimidating at first, shopping in Karol Bagh is relatively simple. Each street is dedicated to a different product. For example, the ‘Silver Street’ is lined with silver and gold smiths selling jewellery. If you’re keen to get amongst the crowded and vibrant shopping that Delhi is famous for, head to Chandi Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in Delhi. Fabrics and food are amongst some of the highlights sold in this busy marketplace.
