Q What fares will Flight Centre price beat?

A. Our Lowest Airfare Guarantee applies to airfares that originate/depart from Australia.

Q. Who will Flight Centre accept airfare quotes from?

A. Other Australian travel agencies, airlines and other Australian registered businesses and websites. The quote must be printed on the competitor’s letterhead or, if from a competitor website, must be printed and clearly show the website and must also be at the final payment stage.

Q. What does available mean?

A. The airfare must be available and able to be booked by the general public when you bring it to us. Available means that the identical airfare/s you have received a genuine quote for is currently saleable and able to be booked on the same dates, airlines, for the same number of passengers, in the same booking classes and on the same flight numbers. The quote must show the date it was created. Fares available due to membership of a group or corporate entity or subscription to a closed user group are excluded. Our Lowest Airfare Guarantee does not apply to fares or prices from other Flight Centre stores or Flight Centre’s own website.

Q. What if I want to travel on a different date than on my original quote?

A. The price beat applies only for travel on the same dates, airlines and flight numbers, for the same number of passengers and in the same booking classes.

Q. Do I have to use the same form of payment? What is the price that Flight Centre will price beat?

A. You must use the same form of payment as for your quoted price. Your written quote must show the date it was created and show the final price payable including all applicable fees and charges (including booking / service fees and all charges for the form of payment chosen). This is the price that we will beat by $1.00 per person. If your quoted price is a cash price then Flight Centre will only price beat where you will pay Flight Centre in cash. The price beat does not apply where you present us with a quote for a cash price and then want to pay Flight Centre using your credit card. If your quote is from a competitor’s website, it must be the final price at the final payment stage and must show the final price payable including all applicable fees and charges (including booking / service fees and all charges for the form of payment chosen). Your quote must be for the same form of payment as you intend to pay Flight Centre.

Q. When can I ask Flight Centre to price beat?

A. Your airfare quote must be in writing and must be presented to us on the same day as it was created and must be presented to us prior to booking. It does not apply to written quotes presented to us after the day it was created or after booking. Our Lowest Airfare Guarantee applies only against your initial genuine written quote only.

Q. What happens if my Flight Centre consultant needs to check my quote?

A. If we suspect or believe your written quote contains pricing or a fare displayed in error or that the pricing, fare or booking class offered is no longer available to book on the same date, airline and flight number, for the same number of passengers and in the same booking class, we have a 24 hour period to investigate the pricing and BEAT it by $1 per person. If we determine that the pricing or fare you have been quoted is invalid, incorrect or unavailable, we will endeavour to find you the best available alternative that suits your requirements. If we determine that the pricing or fare you were quoted was valid, correct and available at the time presented to us, then we will BEAT it by $1 per person.

Q. What if I want to use this price for my friends to book?

A. The quote must reflect the number of passengers looking to book as per the genuine written quote. Of course, if we can book everyone at the same low price we'll do so.

Q. Will Flight Centre beat quotes from foreign websites or for travel that originates outside Australia?

A. No.

Q. What happens if Flight Centre beats the price I have been quoted?

A. If the qualifying criteria are met and you pay in full on the same day (using the same form of payment as for the competitor’s quote) we will beat your airfare quote by $1 per person.

Q: Will I get a $20 voucher when Flight Centre beats my quote?

A. As of the 11 November 2012 Flight Centre will no longer issue a $20 voucher. We will beat your airfare quote by $1 per person.

Q. What happens if I have already booked and then find a cheaper price for the same flight but I have not paid in full?

A. Flight Centre will only price beat where your quote is presented to us prior to booking. Of course, your Flight Centre consultant will be happy to rebook on the cheaper fare if it is available at the time you are travelling. Cancellation or change fees may apply to your original booking.

Q. What happens if I have already booked and paid in full and then find a cheaper price for the same flight?

A. Flight Centre will only price beat where your quote is presented to us prior to booking. Of course, your Flight Centre consultant will be happy to rebook on the cheaper fare if it is available at the time you are travelling. Change and cancellation fees and conditions specific to your original booking will apply.

Q. What if my Flight Centre consultant is unable to beat the airfare I have been quoted?

A. If we are required to beat your airfare quote and we don't then you Fly Free. Your consultant will do everything they can to beat the airfare you have been quoted. If the qualifying criteria are met we will beat that price by $1 per person. If the qualifying criteria are met and your consultant does not beat your quoted price you will receive your flight free of charge. Q. How do I get my free flight if Flight Centre is required to beat my airfare quote and doesn't?

A. If the qualifying criteria are met and your consultant does not beat your quoted price you will receive your flight free of charge. Q. When can I use my free flight?

A. The free flight applies to the booking that Flight Centre is required to beat.

Q. Who books and pays for the free flight?

A. We will book and pay for your free flight.

Q. Can I be reimbursed for a flight I have booked?

A. No. We do not reimburse you for flights you have purchased elsewhere, nor do we provide you with cash or vouchers to the value of the flight we were asked to price beat.

Q. When do I need to claim my free flight?

A. You must make your free flight claim prior to flying or within 7 days of your quote not being beaten (whichever occurs first).

Q. Can I cancel my free flight and claim a refund of the fare?

A. No. Despite anything else in the airline's terms and conditions, you cannot cancel your free flight and claim a refund.
