Our worldwide adventure holidays give the client the freedom from time consuming arrangements, helps them meet local people as guests not strangers and maximize their time at the world’s most incredible places.

We specialize in travel to Eastern Europe, Asia, Trans Siberian / Mongolian Rail Journeys, Middle East, Africa (North, South, East & West Africa), South & Central America.

Our tours are 'small group adventure / activity holidays', and are broken into seven distinct travel styles which cater to many levels of the market – be it a first time traveller looking for an inexpensive journey (Adventurer), or well travelled clients looking for unique and exotic accommodation with style (Connoisseur). We have a travel style to suit everyone, including ‘Imaginative Family’ and ‘Volunteer’ holidays. We also offer a series of ‘Independent’ travel options called ‘Escapes’ – see the details below.

Adventurer – grass roots

You get a real buzz out of travelling. For you, getting there should be as much fun as being there. You’d rather pay less up front and make your mind up about sightseeing and excursions later, but you still want some amazing experiences. With plenty of free time to explore, an 'Adventurer' trip allows you to get under the skin of some of the world’s most exciting destinations while offering great value for money

Includes: Transport and all accommodation (ranging from jungle tree houses to basic but comfortable hotels), services of an Imaginative Traveller Tour Leader. Some meals and entrance fees are not included.

Traveller – A higher level of comfort

You love to experience the culture and tradition of a destination but with a level of inclusions, comfort and organisation that won’t test your endurance, allowing you to relax and enjoy the country. You enjoy the freedom of using privately chartered vehicles but also understand that sometimes the best way to go is ‘local’. A ‘Traveller’ trip gives you authentic travel experiences without roughing it.

Includes: All accommodation (usually in comfortable tourist-class hotels on a twin share basis), transport, many meals, entrance fees for all sites included in the itinerary, services of an Imaginative Traveller Tour Leader and guides at main sites.

Single Supplement: Usually available - but optional.

Pioneer – ground breaking

You are driven by adventure, always seeking to go a little further. If you are after a challenge, enjoy exploring some of the world’s more rugged places and don’t mind the occasional lack of facilities, these trips take you right off the beaten track. With dynamic itineraries offering extraordinary and unforgettable experiences, this is truly ground-breaking travel.

Includes: All accommodation, transport, meals in remote locations, applicable entrance fees and services of an Imaginative Traveller Tour Leader. Meals in larger towns and cities are not included.

Connoisseur – Exotic places in style

You are drawn to exotic destinations and want to appreciate them in style. These trips offer an especially high level of comfort, staying in the finest accommodation. If you appreciate quality and are looking for rewarding experiences, whether you are returning to a place or visiting for the first time, a ‘Connoisseur’ trip takes you to the next level in style.

Includes: Accommodation in unique and evocative places, transport, many meals, entrance fees for all sites listed as part of the itinerary and the services of an Imaginative Traveller Tour Leader.

Single supplement: Compulsory for all single travelers.

Volunteers – A helping hand

You want to totally immerse yourself in a culture, living as the locals do and seeing the country as it really is. As a ‘Volunteer’ you live and work within a community, becoming part of it, and you develop a unique insight into another society as a result. By combining volunteer work with an exciting adventure holiday you get incredible travel experiences together with the knowledge that you are helping to make a difference.

Included: Accommodation as per ‘Adventurer’ tours for the holiday section; in local homes or shared rooms on Volunteer section, transport, some meals and the services of an Imaginative Traveller Tour Leader.

Single Supplement: Not available.

Imaginative Family

The Imaginative Family trips will appeal to parents with their children (minimum age 6) who have a positive outlook on life and are seeking an alternative to the more conventional family holiday. The excitement of discovering unusual lands, learning about different cultures and sharing the experience with everyone involved at local level brings together families from the UK, North America, Australia and Europe.

Includes: All transport, 3, 4 and 5 star hotels, all transport (majority private), all activities, entrance fees and meals as listed in the itinerary, and the services of an Imaginative Traveller Tour Leader.

Imaginative Escapes (Independent Travel)

The perfect escape needs the right destination, it needs to be flexible and have the ideal blend of activity and relaxation. Ranging from 3-7 nights in duration, Imaginative Escapes are designed for people who want the freedom of travelling individually but the inclusions of an organised trip, and who don’t have much time to spare.

Destinations: Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Sth. Africa, Russia.
