Day 1 Bocognano
Arrive in Corsica and warm up the legs on an orientation walk through the charming village of Bocognano. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the town is an ideal base for uncovering the walking trails through the lush landscape over the next few days. Perhaps visit the stunning waterfall and azure rock pools of Voile de la Mariee, located just minutes from the town.
Days 2-7 Guided Day Walks
Explore Corsica's kaleidoscope of scenery on various guided day walks through the stunning Corsica Regional Nature Park. Spend a total of five days ambling through the picturesque countryside. Stare up at craggy granite cliff-faces that have been chiselled over centuries by wind and rain, ascend to emerald-green pastures, traverse chestnut woodlands and emerge in open fields with awesome 360-degree views of verdant hills, alpine vegetation and babbling brooks. With a myriad of trail options, there'll be no time for boredom. In free time, kick back and enjoy the hum of village life in Bocognano, or hop aboard the railway to explore more of the island. Perhaps wander the cobblestone streets of the mountain town of Corte and visit the observation platform for great views of famous Corte Citadel â“ perched precariously atop a high hill â“ and the spectacular surrounding mountains.
