When buying an Akubra, you need to buy one size larger than your head size, as over time, the leather band inside hat will shrink. Lucky we told you.
Caring for an Akubra:
1. Never leave your hat out in the sun, as this will encourage the leather to shrink faster
2. Always rest your Akubra on its crown, as resting on the brim will cause the brim to distort
3. Keep your Akubra in shape by giving it a brush from time to time in an anti-clockwise direction with a soft bristled brush over a shot of steam (a kettle will do nicely)
