To travel internationally, all countries require foreign nationals to be in possession of a valid passport. Generally countries like the validity of the passport to be greater than six months. If you lose your passport overseas, contact your embassy immediately so that they can arrange a replacement. You won’t be able to leave the foreign country without the official document.

Depending on diplomatic relations, some countries require foreign nationals to obtain a visa in advance. It’s generally best to check with the destination’s consulate or embassy regarding the visa situation. Some countries enable tourists to obtain a visa at the point of entry but still require a fee. In this case, you should ensure that you have the appropriate currency to pay the entry visa fee.
