Adelaide Central Gallery Information
Adelaide Central Gallery began in 1987 as an artist-run exhibition space and has evolved into one of Adelaide's most prominent contemporary non-profit galleries.
Monthly changing exhibitions includes both emerging and established artists working in a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, video and multimedia. There is a focus on emerging artists who are ACSA graduates or associated with ACSA as current or former art lecturers and solo and group exhibitions by leading national and occasional international artists.
Exhibiting artists give informal lectures in the gallery on a regular basis. Guided tours and floor talks can be arranged by appointment for school or social groups of ten or more.
There are adjoining studio and student galleries.
The gallery is an exclusive representative in South Australia for the estate of artist Pro Hart and there is a stockroom of work by South Australian artists.
