Gunlom Falls Information

Gunlom Falls is one of the most spectacular sights in Kakadu National Park. It is found at the southern, less visited end of the park around 30 kilometres from the southern entrance on the South Alligator River. They can be reached all year round by a gravel road. The stunning, emerald green pool, with a white sandy beach, surrounded by high cliffs and pandanus palms, topped off by 150 metres of cascading waterfall was made famous by the movie Crocodile Dundee. Gunlom Falls is a popular camping spot for tour groups trekking across the National Park.

The steep climb to the top of the falls is rewarded by stunning views across Kakadu National Park and a series of crystal clear rock pools where you can find true tranquillity away from the sometimes busy camping area at the bottom.
