The Maltese enjoy a siesta after lunch, especially during the summer months. Don’t expect to find too many establishments open between 12:30 and 3pm apart from places to eat and drink. The evenings are when Malta comes alive and many of the locals work until 8 or 9pm before heading out to the streets, parks and beaches for family time, barbecues and get-togethers with friends.
