Attractions near the Best Western Brighton

The exotic Royal Pavilion

The Brighton Royal Pavilion is an extravagant and extraordinary palace built for the pleasure of Prince Regent, who later became King George IV. Constructed between 1787 and 1823, this unique building features balconies, domes and minarets, with an architecturally stunning combination of Gothic, Indian and Chinese styles.

Prince Regent decorated the palace, known to be his illicit love nest, with over-the-top ornate embellishments. It's easy to be intrigued and delighted by the palm frond columns, staircase of imitation bamboo and writhing gold dragons. The Royal Pavilion was revered by the high society and it is still one of Brighton's most distinctive landmarks.

Tinkering at the Brighton Toy Museum

The Brighton Toy Museum has a way of amazing children while bringing out nostalgic memories in their parents. It has an enormous treasure trove of models and toys, with more than 10,000 items in its collection.

The Museum was founded in 1991 and most of the exhibits focus on the first half of the 1900s. You can discover vintage dollhouses and strange wooden puppets that are vaguely spooky. Some of the model train collections are priceless and the exhibits include a couple of large model railway layouts in working order. There’s also a wide range of antique toys and functional scale models.
