The heart of Ireland’s modern art

For a taste of Ireland’s best contemporary and experimental art, you need to simply stroll five minutes from the hotel to the Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, which boasts a huge variety of exhibitions and collections.

A highlight for all ages is the Stained Glass Room, which houses beautiful pieces in jewelled colours that depict various tales of old. You might also enjoy the Francis Bacon Studio, which was moved in its entirety from London to Dublin in 1998, along with the 7,000 items inside it. From September to June the Gallery holds popular concerts every Sunday at noon in the beautiful surrounds of the Sculpture Gallery.

Cheers to a guided whiskey tour

If you take a leisurely 15-minute stroll from the hotel, you can taste the world-famous Jameson’s Irish Whiskey at The Old Jameson Distillery. Within the Distillery, you can learn about the history of the drink with an hour-long guided whiskey tour through a recreated distillery scene that promises a complimentary glass of Jameson at the end to toast your visit.

For a more indulgent experience, there’s also an Irish Nights package, which includes the distillery tour as well as a tasty dinner and show.
