Attractions near the Holiday Inn Express Messe

Goetheturm

A popular day trip from Frankfurt, Goethe Tower is located on the edge of woods, just to the south of the city. The large rickety 43-meter-high wooden tower was built in 1931 to replace a previous wooden tower, which served as a lookout station.

Climb the steps to enjoy sweeping views across the woods and the city of Frankfurt. At the base of the tower, you can take an inviting walk through the surrounding woodland, or stop in for a drink at the cafe while the kids play around in the nearby children’s playground.

Shopping and dining in one place

Frankfurt’s longest street is a largely pedestrianised, colourful and multicultural scene of boutique shops, restaurants and cafes. The relaxed atmosphere attracts both locals and visitors, keen for a leisurely wander to sample treats from the many bakeries or wine bars, while admiring the beautiful historic wooden buildings that line the street.

Berger Strasse is the main commercial precinct of both the Nordend and Bornheim areas, and plays host to popular annual street festivals including the whacky 400-year-old Bernemer Kerb parade in August.
