Attractions near the Harbour Grand Hong Kong

Reach The Peak

The Peak is Hong Kong’s highest vantage point and is also one of its most popular tourist destinations. The views from The Peak are spectacular; during the day the horizon stretches beyond distant mountains across the water and at night the city lights illuminate the sky.

You can take in views from one of the many free observation decks or indulge in a meal at one of the various restaurants. If you want a bit of exercise with your sightseeing, try going for a walk along the Hong Kong Trail: an easy circular route that provides 360-degree views of Hong Kong and the surrounding countryside.

Horseracing in Hong Kong

Australia may be known for its Spring Carnival, but Hong Kong locals love their horses too. Horseracing was introduced to the city back in 1841 and has become an integral part of social life. Originally a sport for the upper classes, horseracing is now enjoyed by the masses.

You might want to visit Happy Valley or Sha Tin for a day of horseracing Hong Kong style. The city’s racing carnivals run from September through to July and highlights include the Hong Kong Derby, the Queen Elizabeth II Cup and the Hong Kong International Races.
