Attractions near the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong

A Symphony of Lights

The full beauty of Victoria Harbour can be experienced during the 'A Symphony of Lights'; the spectacular light show that illuminates Hong Kong every night of the week. With more than 40 buildings involved in its execution, it is renowned as the world’s largest permanent light and sound show.

There are five unique themes: Awakening, Energy, Heritage, Partnership and Celebration. Each one dazzles audiences with a vibrant array of colourful lights, intricate patterns and laser beams. The best places to listen to the show’s synchronised music and English narration are along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront or on the promenade outside the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai.

See it all from Victoria Peak

With an unbeatable view of the city’s stunning skyline and harbour, Victoria Peak (known locally as 'The Peak') is a must-visit Hong Kong attraction. The most exciting way to get the top is via the Peak Tram, one of the world’s oldest funicular railways. Rising 396 metres above sea level, this steep adventure is an experience in itself. At the top is the Peak Tower, which houses an array of restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.

If you travel to the top of the Peak Tower, you can witness 360-degree panoramic views of Hong Kong at the Sky Terrace. Standing 428 metres above sea level, this unique vantage point is the perfect place to capture the beauty of Hong Kong.
