The Zoo also provides numerous options for making your visit unique. You can camp overnight, take after-hours tours, stargaze among the animals and a lot more.
Remembering the brave ones
A visit to the USS Arizona Memorial takes you back to that fateful day on December 7, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked. One of the battleships destroyed was the USS Arizona and it still rests in the water off the shores of Hawaii. Right above it is the Memorial, commemorating the naval soldiers who fought aboard the ship and everyone else who died in the attack.
When you visit, you first watch a video describing the Pearl Harbor attack, before taking a ferry-ride out to the Memorial. You see the faces of the men and women who gave their lives, as well as learning their stories.
