Attractions near the Best Western Jubilee Ridge

The Hyderabad of old

Just five minutes’ walk from the hotel is the fascinating Shilparamam Cultural Society. This place is home to a reproduced village that depicts days gone by, and it provides a little bit of tradition and insight into the old life in the area. You can wander past models of women cooking in traditional dress, men performing puppet shows for children and groups of locals dancing and singing.

The village doubles as a shopping centre and is an excellent place to pick up souvenirs and gifts, or perhaps something decorative for your own home to remind you of your time in Hyderabad. Haggling is allowed, so don't be shy when hunting for a bargain.

A green escape in the city

It's always nice to spend some time away from the bustling city streets by enjoying an afternoon exploring the parks near the hotel. A five-minute taxi ride gets you to Durgam Cheruvu Lake, where you can stroll around the shore, watch local fishermen and enjoy a picnic overlooking the waterfalls.

A bit further afield is the Botanical Gardens of Hyderabad, a lush green refuge that offers ample shelter from the midday sun. The oasis is filled with native and exotic plants and local wildlife. If you get peckish, you can munch on a traditional bhaji from the Gardens' little stall.
