While there’s plenty of things to keep you occupied at the resort, Six Senses Samui also offers a fantastic range of activities spanning all interests, giving you the option to get out and explore if you so desire. For something cultural, consider joining the Samui Temple Tour which visits a range of culturally significant landmarks including Wat Plai Laem Temple, the Big Buddha Temple and Wat Khao Po. If after your Six Senses Spa session you’re keen to get out and get active, the resort also has activities to suit.
Combining exercise and sightseeing is the Mountain Bike Trip where you will cycle to some of the islands most notable landmarks and areas including Plai Laem Village, Big Buddha, and Cheongmon Beach. For something uniquely Thai, consider taking part in a Thai Boxing class. Known as Muay Thai, you can learn the basic techniques of this ancient form of martial art with the help of a professional trainer.
Venture under the sea
While there is plenty to see on land on Koh Samui, you won’t want to miss exploring the surrounding lagoons either. Another series of guided tours, Six Senses also offers tours of the popular Ang Thong Marine Park where snorkelling is highly regarded and you can also explore incredible limestone caves and cliffs as well. Diving tours are also available for a range of experience levels, and usually include only 10 people.
Still on the water, with Six Senses you can also take part in a private fishing trip. Set out on a Thai fishing boat to one of the island’s designated fishing areas. This tour is a great way to get to know local fisherman and one of the island’s most popular industries. Lunch is also served onboard. - General
