Luxury shopping at Starhill Gallery
One of the biggest and most popular shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur is Starhill Gallery, which is conveniently located nearby your hotel. This avant-garde architectural gem features sleek stone and high-tech glass panels that give the building a beautiful shimmering effect.
Inside, the mall delivers seven floors of luxury for international shoppers with discriminating tastes. You’ll find many of the world's premier brands here, including fashion houses Dior and Louis Vuitton, jewellery and accessories from Hermes and Chopard, Sephora cosmetics, Armani Casa home decor, and more. When you’re ready for a break from shopping and need to refuel, choose from a variety of quality dining establishments in the gallery.
Visit an authentic Chinese temple
The Thean Hou temple is an enormous traditional temple of significance to the Chinese residents of Kuala Lumpur. Visitors are welcome, however remember to remove your shoes and leave them at the entrance. Purchase some joss sticks to place in the burners, as many of the worshippers do, or just sit and enjoy the reverent silence.
The temple is home to a turtle pond and the unique fountain of the Goddess of Mercy – if you position yourself in the right spot you’ll see her pouring water from a jar. From the temple you can get expansive views over the city, and if you’re lucky enough to be here during Chinese New Year you’ll witness one of the best fireworks displays in KL.
