The history of technology
Prague’s National Technical Museum is situated a mere 20-minute walk from the hotel. It is the world’s largest museum dedicated to the history of technology and provides a detailed look at the Czech Republic’s technological advances through time.
Within the Museum you’ll be able to see unique exhibits on architecture, transport, astronomy, mining, printing, photography and many more aspects of technology. Some of the more interesting exhibits include the first automobile create in Czech, a reconstructed mine and a 5000-year-old meteorite. You may also want to visit the Museum’s library for more information, or take part in some interactive fun in the Mountain Gaming Hall.
Beer in the park
Prague is home to numerous park areas and the one closest to the hotel, Letna Park, shouldn’t be missed. This lush, green area is large enough for you to go cycling or walking, but still has those intimate areas tucked away for a private picnic or a lazy afternoon snooze on the grass.
There’s more to Letna Park than nature, as it contains some very unique and interesting monuments including a giant Metronome that swings back and forth, and the oldest functioning carousel in Europe. If you’re feeling thirsty, you need only stop in at Letna Beer Garden for a cold drink with a breathtaking view of Prague.
