Discover La Dolce Vita

Home to some of the most exclusive shops, hotels and restaurants in Rome, the high-end Via Veneto was the setting for the classic 1960 movie La Dolce Vita. Rome’s most-popular shopping street swarms with upbeat tourists and fashionistas during the day, and by night there’s a vibrant atmosphere when diners venture out to enjoy the upmarket cosmopolitan restaurant scene.

It’s a great place to kick back at a cafe and people watch over a cappuccino, while taking in the beautiful architecture of the Via Veneto and the essence of La Dolce Vita.

St Peter's Basilica

This late-Renaissance architectural beauty housed within the Vatican City is the largest church in the world. Today’s Basilica was constructed to replace a previous one built by Constantine the Great in 324 AD on the site of the tomb of St Peter. The magnificent church was designed in the 16th Century by a host of famous artists and architects including Bramante, Raphael, Michelangelo, Peruzzi and Sangello.

This sacred attraction is incredibly pretty inside and out, from the opulent marble and stonework of the exterior, to the breathtaking interiors by Bernini and the huge crowd pleaser of The Pietà by Michelangelo.
