Classical Roman styling and contemporary decor mingle within this 17th-century building, enviably placed in Rome’s historic centre, only 50 metres from Piazza Barberini and its Baroque Triton Fountain. Bold contemporary fabrics pair with dark timber finishes in the guest rooms, and spacious suites offering a separate living area and comfy sofa. Fill up on a tasty buffet in the hotel’s cosy breakfast room, and explore Via Veneto’s upmarket cafes and shops, a couple of minutes away by foot and the Spanish Steps, a few steps further.

Explore the Piazza
With the Piazza Barberini just a stone's throw from the hotel, you should probably make this bustling central square one of the first ports of call upon your arrival in Rome. This picturesque piazza features the stunning centrepiece Fontana del Tritone fountain, sculpted by Bernini in 1642, alongside many beautiful historical buildings, some of which date back to the 16th Century.
Also located here and open to the public is the stately Barberini Palace, former palace of the Barberini family and now home to the Museum of Ancient Art. The Piazza is a great place to grab a cappuccino or a slice of pizza, and to revel in the buzz of the city, before heading off to explore one of the many adjoining streets including the chic Via Veneto.
Rome's Gothic church
Just a block from the Pantheon, the Basilica Santa Maria Sopra Minerva dazzles visitors with Michelangelo's famous 1521 sculpture of Christ the Redeemer as well as Bernini's Pullcino della Minerva. Rome's only Gothic church has an austere exterior hiding a treasure trove of religious artefacts.
Feel free to relish the peaceful ambience and understated charm as you admire the pretty stained-glass windows and the blue frescoed ceiling with its splattering of gold stars. The Basilica is also the final resting place of several Medici Popes and Renaissance artists.
