Luxury accommodation on Tunis' biggest park

For a capital city, Tunis is quite compact, with many attractions located close to one another. Belvedere Park is packed with sightseeing highlights, being the city's largest park but also home to other attractions such as the Tunis Zoo and Museum of Modern Art. The park's French-style landscape also makes for an excellent view from your bedroom.

Some of the hotels in Tunis back onto Belvedere Park, placing you within the central part of town with a natural sanctuary right outside. The Hotel Belvedere Fourati delivers cosy rooms with a charming restaurant, while the Ambassadeurs Hotel features spacious suites and a penchant for sumptuous furnishings.

Lakeside accommodation

Although Tunis doesn't have immediate access to Tunisia's coastline, the city is home to a large and picturesque lake that makes for a welcoming sight when waking up in the morning. The Lake of Tunis gives the city a natural landmark to complement the man-made sites such as the Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul.

Hotels sitting on the edge of the lake also happen to be located conveniently close to the international airport. You can stay at the Hotel Les Berges Du Lac Concorde for fine-dining and private balconies looking out over the water. There's also the Hotel Paris and Acropole Hotel, located nearby and within the bustling business district.

Affordable accommodation in Tunis

For the budget-savvy traveller out there, Tunis has a great selection of budget and mid-range accommodation that still leaves you feeling pampered and at ease. The Ibis Tunis lives up to its brand name by delivering friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The prime position also makes it easy to get to transport and various souks.

For a bit more money you can stay at the Carlton Hotel Tunis or Novotel Mohamed V, both also located in central Tunis. Don't forget to check out The National Bardo Museum, easily reached on local public transport.
