Tour the Grand Canal

Jump aboard a Vaporetto passenger boat and let yourself be seduced by the romantic city of Venice as you tour the Grand Canal. Running through the main thoroughfare of Venice, this three-kilometre sightseeing trip takes you from the railway station to San Marco, past grand eye-catching palazzo and historical sights.

Embark on the trip at sunset and cosy up in the back of the boat, as you take in the views of this enchanting city and one of the world’s most beautiful canals in the early evening light. Vaporetto tickets are available throughout the city and are a great introduction to Venice.

Vivaldi in Venice

Vivaldi is synonymous with Venice. One of the world’s greatest Baroque composers, Vivaldi was born and lived in the city, creating some of the most popular operas and concertos of our time including the much-loved Four Seasons. The composer and his work are widely celebrated throughout Venice, and catching a Vivaldi concert during your visit is a must.

There are plenty of local music groups playing recognisable pieces in concerts throughout the city, but for a Vivaldi performance to remember, you can’t go past the world-famous Venice Baroque Orchestra at the Teatro La Fenice.
