Mariner of the Seas Onboard Experiences
Dining and bars
Mariner of the Seas has a tempting array of restaurants, cafes and bars onboard, from the private, 5-course Chef’s Table culinary experience to Starbucks and the boardwalk Dog House. Highlights include Jamie’s Italian by Jamie Oliver, where you can enjoy Tuscan-inspired family-style dishes, and Chops Grille, Royal Caribbean’s famous steakhouse. There are also plenty of bars for every taste or occasion, with favourites being the Wig & Gavel English pub, the Schooner bar, and now Mariner of the Seas offers Playmakers Bar & Arcade, where you can watch live sports on dozens of screens, or contest the title of pool champion with your friends while tucking in to buffalo wings and an icy cold beer.
You’ll find plenty of things to do aboard Mariner of the Seas. “Tech on every deck” is how Royal Caribbean describes it, and this includes a bungee trampoline experience with a VR headset and glow-in-the-dark laser tag. Other ways to get your pulse racing is on The Perfect Storm 3-storey high waterslide, rock climbing, ice skating, latin dance classes, table tennis, mini-golf… you can even get your scuba diving certification. More low-key activities are plentiful too, and include wine tasting, sushi-making classes, shopping, and movie nights. You can even take an all-access VIP tour of the ship, going behind the scenes to check out the galley, the engine control room and the bridge, or put your feet up with a good book in the ship’s Library.
Kids and families
A Mariner of the Seas cruise looks after its young passengers too, with the award-winning Adventure Ocean youth program and teen program. Activities start with Royal Babies and Royal Tots, the two programs for the youngest cruisers, hosted by trained youth staff. Next up is Aquanauts, where children aged 3 to 5 years will find themselves captivated by the fun science program. The 6- to 8-year-olds will enjoy the specially designed Explorers program makes learning fun, with themed parties and more. Voyagers (ages 9 to 11) also shows the kids a great time onboard with a load of interesting activities. Royal Caribbean prides itself on offering cruising vacations without limitations, and Mariner of the Seas is fitted with a range of features that make this possible for guests with disabilities and special needs. These include corridors wide enough to accommodate 180-degree turns for wheelchairs, automatic doors, elevators and gradual inclines into all public rooms. There are several accessible staterooms aboard Mariner of the Seas and all of these have wider doors, roll-in showers and a whole range of other accessible features. There are lower playing tables in the Casino, as well as Braille/tactile public room signage, lift buttons, stateroom numbers and deck numbers on staircase handrails. All dining and bar venues offer wheelchair seating.

The cabins can be divided into four main categories: Suite, Balcony, Ocean View and Interior. Suites are the most luxurious, with the majority of suites offering multiple rooms and balconies.
