Rhapsody of the Seas Onboard Experiences
Dining and bars
A Rhapsody of the Seas cruise will give you the chance to dine at all your favourite Royal Caribbean restaurants. The Main Dining Room is called Edelweiss Restaurant, and spans two decks, connected by a sweeping staircase. Here, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with open seating for breakfast and lunch. Windjammer Cafe, which is buffet-style dining, is also complimentary, as is the Park Cafe located in the Solarium. For the most decadent dining option onboard Rhapsody of the Seas, don’t miss the Chef’s Table – an exclusive, intimate experience of five courses including wine pairings. Other specialty restaurants include Chops Grille, Giovanni’s Table, Izumi Japanese cuisine and Cafe Latte-tudes, serving ‘Seattle’s best coffee’. Room service is also available if you just can’t make it out of your comfortable suite.
While Rhapsody of the Seas will not give you a zip line or the opportunity to learn to surf, it does have an abundance of activities to enjoy during your cruise. Royal Caribbean’s signature rock-climbing wall is a popular attraction on board, as are the table tennis tournaments and dance classes. You can also sign up for a variety of classes such as sushi-making or cupcake-making. There’s a jogging track on the deck for anyone wishing to stretch their legs and breathe in the invigorating sea air, plus plenty of cruise-ship classics such as trivia and game-show fun.
Kids and families
There’s plenty to do aboard a Rhapsody of the Seas cruise for all members of the family, with children of all ages welcome in the award-winning Adventure Ocean youth program. Tweens and teens are included too, with programs designed to appeal to this age group, as well as give them the freedom to come and go as they please. Activities for the kids start with Royal Babies and Royal Tots, the two programs for the youngest cruisers. The Adventure Ocean program then accommodates kids in either the Aquanauts (3 to 5 years), Explorers (6 to 8 years) or the Voyagers (9 to 11 years) program, and every member of Royal Caribbean’s youth team is highly qualified and has extensive experience working with children. There are also loads of family activities on board, as well as family room configurations and family-friendly dining options.
Fitness and wellbeing
Vitality Spa & Fitness presents you with a whole lot of options for keeping fit and healthy during your cruise aboard Rhapsody of the Seas. In the Fitness Centre you’ll find the very latest exercise equipment as well as a variety of fitness classes ranging from kickboxing to yoga. Once you’ve had your workout, you may like to treat yourself to a different kind of wellbeing with choice of over 100 treatments including massages, wraps, facials, and hair and nail treatments. There’s a jogging and walking track on the upper deck, as well as the main outdoor pool on Deck 9 and a glass-covered pool in the Solarium, as well as two hot tubs.
Shows and nightlife
Dinner and a show? Martinis and live music in R Bar? Roulette and champagne cocktails in the Casino Royale? Rhapsody of the Seas has a great selection of entertainment options for when the sun goes down. If you enjoy dazzling theatrical productions, get comfortable in the Main Theatre for the night’s showtime spectacular. If the thrill of Las Vegas appeals, make your way to the Casino Royale for a night of fun. You’ll also find live music and dancing nightly, whether you’re up for piano classics in the Schooner Bar or would rather hit the dancefloor in the Viking Crown nightclub as the DJ takes care of the tunes.
Services and accessibility
Rhapsody of the Seas is fitted with a range of features so that every passenger can enjoy peace of mind while on holiday.
