Flexible Fares

Booking a holiday before the end of the financial year and wanting more flexibility to change your travel dates or location? Here are some of the best flexible flight options to help get you on your way.

What are flexible tickets?

We know travel needs to be as flexible as your plans are which is why we’d like to introduce you to our latest flexible airfare options - you’ll see them marked with a red ‘flexible’ tag across fares on our site. Many airlines in Australia are now waiving their change fees and offering travel credits in order to give customers more peace of mind when travelling. The rules around how these special airfares operate are different for each carrier and you can read more about them below.

Qantas

All new domestic bookings made until 27 July are eligible for one free date change. This offer can be used for travel between 12 June and 31 October 2020 on any domestic Qantas flight within Australia.

If you already booked to fly with Qantas before 31 October 2020, and want to change your plans, you can cancel and keep the value as a credit voucher with the airline. Flight credits are valid and can be used for travel until 31 December 2022.
But, if you're someone who wants just that little bit more flexibility, Qantas' 'Flex' fares on domestic flights allow for date changes and credits in the case of cancellation, regardless of when you book or travel. A refund may be applied for a $99 fee.
