Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrive Kununurra Arrive in Kununurra where we’ll transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy your day at leisure before sitting down to a Welcome Dinner.
  • Day 2 - Kununurra, Purnululu National Park, Echidna Chasm Travel to Purnululu National Park today. On arrival, join a hike to Echidna Chasm, a spectacular natural cleft in the rock. Visit Warmun Art Centre and admire the Indigenous paintings on display here. Afterwards, settle into the tranquil ambience of the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge in the heart of this stunning national park.
  • Day 3 - Purnululu National Park, Cathedral Gorge This morning, take a walk along Piccaninny Creek, marvelling at the majestic beehive domes of the Bungle Bungle Range, as your guide brings its natural history to life. Your next stop is the natural amphitheatre of Cathedral Gorge, a spacious cavern whose acoustics are astounding. You may like to experience an optional scenic helicopter flight over the range (own expense).
  • Day 4 - Halls Creek, Fitzroy River Head to Halls Creek and admire the unusual China Wall. A natural quartz formation that runs six kilometres along the landscape, the wall is an echo of the Great Wall of China, after which it was named. Continue on towards Fitzroy Crossing, a small settlement situated on the Fitzroy River.
  • Day 5 - Danggu Geikie Gorge, Broome Travel to Danggu Geikie Gorge National Park and board a unique cruise. Flooding of the river has bleached the walls white over time – an intriguing sight that makes it popular with photographers. Return to Broome where your tour concludes.
