Itinerary

  • Day 1, Dubrovnik
Saturday. Welcome to Split and the start of your holiday. Included transfer from the airport or Dubrovnik harbor to your hotel in the city. The remainder of the day offers free time for you to head out and explore this beautiful city.
no breakfast, no lunch, 1 dinner included.
    Day 2, Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik. Today begins at Pile Gate, on the eastern side of Dubrovnik Old Town. The main entrance to Old Town, Pile Gate was built in the 15th century and once had a wooden drawbridge attached. Each night, the drawbridge would be pulled up to prevent unwelcome visitors to the walled city.

From here, we will embark on a walking tour. Weaving through the maze-like narrow streets and lively piazzas, we will stop by the stunning Sponza Palace, a 16th century palace, that is now home to the Dubrovnik State Archive and holds documents dating back to the 12th century.

Next stop will be St Blaise's Church, aptly named after the patron saint of Dubrovnik, Then, we will visit Dubrovnik Cathedral - otherwise known as the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Dating back to the 12th century, it was built somewhere between the late 1600s and early 1700s on the site of previous cathedrals dating back to the 7th century.

Finally, we will visit Rector's Palace, a stunning palace that used to serve as the seat of the Rector of the Republic of Ragusa, between the 14th century and 1808. Combining intricate Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture, the palace reminds visitors of the fine synergy between governance and faith that kept Dubrovnik afloat as a republic for 450 years.
1 breakfast, no lunch, 1 dinner included.
    Day 3, Kotor
Dubrovnik - Montenegro - Dubrovnik. Today will be spent exploring the picturesque Montenegro, a small European country that borders with Croatia. With breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, we will visit the UNESCO-heritage listed Bay of Kotor and the city of Kotor.

Embraced by the Verige Strait that runs through, the Bay of Kotor was once a gateway that once provided medieval cities protection from invaders. Once inside, you'll be stunned by the winding bay, towering peaks and rocky coastline.

One of the medieval cities that lines the bay includes Kotor, which is situated in Europe's southernmost fjord. Known for its venetian waterfront fortifications, the old town is surrounded by city walls and built into a steep hillside. You will have free time to explore the stunning city on your own.

Afterwards, we will enjoy a ride across the stunning Bay of Kotor on our way back to Dubrovnik.

We will have free time in Mostar, so be sure to take a walk across Old Bridge, check out the local markets, and enjoy lunch in Old Town.

After lunch, we will head to the capital city, Sarajevo. A melting pot of different cultures and religions, Sarajevo is known for its mix of architecture and countless mosques, churches and synagogues. After our stop, we will continue on to Belgrade, a beautiful city that sits between the Saba and Danube rivers. Famous for its sunsets, there are an abundance of sights to explore - from monuments and parks to fountains and even archeological sites. On arrival, we will enjoy a guided tour of the city before spending the night in Belgrade.
1 breakfast, no lunch, 1 dinner included.
    Day 6, Belgrade
Belgrade - Novi Sad - Osijek or Vukovar. In the morning, we will make our way to Novi Sad, Serbia's second largest city. After a guided tour of Novi Sad, we will head to the nearby city of Ilok.

In Ilok, you will have opportunity to taste wines in one of the famous Croatia wine cellars "Ilo?ki Podrumi" followed by an included traditional lunch.

After lunch, we will stop in Vukovar, the biggest Croatian river port located at the confluence of Vuka River in Danube. Rebuilt after the War of Independance, the city of Vukovar serves as an important symbol of Croatian independence and resistance.
