Day 1 Darwin to Litchfield National Park, 106 kms.Depart Darwin and head south on the Stuart Highway before turning onto Cox Peninsula Road towards Berry Springs. Stop at Berry Springs Nature Park for a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waterholes, offering a taste of the natural beauty ahead. Continue along Cox Peninsula Road and take a left onto Litchfield Park Road, leading you to the breathtaking waterfalls of Litchfield National Park.
Among the park's many stunning waterfalls, Florence Falls and Wangi Falls stand out as favourites, ideal for swimming, picnicking, and short scenic walks. While most attractions are accessible by 2WD, adventure seekers can take on the 4WD-only Reynolds River Track. For an extended challenge, experienced bushwalkers can tackle the 39km Tabletop Track circuit. Alternatively, enjoy world-class fishing at Dundee Beach or Crab Claw Island.

Day 2 to 3 Litchfield National Park to Kakadu National Park, 194 kms.Depart Litchfield and drive to the northern entrance of Kakadu, stopping at the Bowali Visitor Centre in Jabiru. Note that a park pass is required for entry and can be purchased online beforehand.
Kakadu National Park, spanning over 20,000 square kilometres, is home to the Bininj/Mungguy people and showcases breathtaking landscapes, rich wildlife, and ancient Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr and Nourlangie Rock. Discover natural wonders such as Gunlom Pools, Maguk, and Jim Jim Falls

Day 6 Daly Waters to Tennant Creek, 407 kms.Embark on the journey south with stops to break up the drive. Explore Newcastle Waters, once a key gathering place for drovers, now a fascinating ghost town.
At the intersection of the Barkly and Stuart Highways, pause at Threeways and visit the Reverend John Flynn memorial, commemorating the founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Continue to Tennant Creek, a town rich in gold mining history. Visit the Battery Hill Mining Centre for an underground tour and a look at the historic Stamp Battery. Stop by the Tennant Creek Visitor Information Centre for more insights into the area's past.

Upon arrival in Alice Springs, explore the diverse flora and fauna at the Alice Springs Desert Park or admire the striking red quartzite formations of the West MacDonnell Ranges.
