Walking into the Capri by Fraser, first impressions detailed a slick and modern hotel looking every bit the part of the perfect business stay – a perception that was bolstered by the central location in the heart of Brisbane's city centre. Striking art instillations bring the lobby to life as does a verdant vertical garden. Though perhaps the best feature is the seamless and friendly check-in service. Available in person or via iPad, this hotel is all about offering guests the option of choosing how you want to 'live, work and play' when you stay.
Owned and operated by Frasers Hospitality, this marks the fourth property in Australia for Frasers and the first of the Capri brand. The award-winning company is known for creating serviced apartments with an emphasis on quality, luxury and attention to detail, and Capri is no exception. As I found out when I recently stayed overnight, it's evident in nearly every aspect of the 239 rooms.
Designed by the Ministry of Design, my room featured a soft grey palette brought to life with pops of vibrant colour subtly integrated in details such as the carpets, geometric artworks and throw pillows. Comfortable and calming, it creates a welcoming ambience accentuated by expansive windows that lent a feeling of added space. As a bonus, my corner room also offered views out to the Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

Though Capri sets itself apart from the competition with intuitive touches aimed at making your business or leisure stay just a little bit easier. Catering to the 'connected' lifestyle of modern travellers, my room also featured complimentary WiFi, bedside charging stations, iPod docking station and e-concierge.
This full service hotel also features plenty of other facilities to ensure your stay is the best it can be. The second floor is comprised of an indoor pool and separate men's and women's changing rooms. Lockers are available as are saunas for those that want to unwind after a hectic day at work. There is a separate 'Spin and Play' room, featuring a fully equipped gym and activities room for the young and young-at-heart – ideal for travelling families or corporate travellers hoping to maintain their 2017 fitness resolutions.
In-room and onsite dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner are available from Asana by Pete Evans. Maintaining the sleek look and feel of the hotel, this modern restaurant provides a varied menu with an emphasis on nutritious fare. There's also a list of desserts should you wish to indulge your sweet tooth.
