Budget airline easyJet has launched a loyalty scheme called Flight Club, to encourage customers to choose their airline over competitors.
The company recently completed an 18-month trial of Flight Club, which offered a range of features to around 15,000 frequent flyers including more booking flexibility, a best price promise and exclusive customer service.
easyJet says that returning passengers book twice as many flights per year with the airline as new passengers. In 2015, 74 percent of its passengers returned for subsequent flights, representing more than 50 million people.
The loyalty scheme will be available in Europe in early 2016 to customers who have taken at least 20 easyJet flights or met a minimum spend criteria within a 12-month period.
