When you're running a small to medium size company, every little bit can help the bottom line. This is particularly true when it comes to business travel budgets. Luckily, many major airlines offer frequent flyer programs that specialise in rewarding businesses every time they fly. Virgin Australia is one of those airlines.

The Virgin Accelerate program is all about providing Australian Registered companies with corporate air travel solutions. Here's a quick overview to help you decide if it's the right program for your business ...

How It Works

Virgin Accelerate is available to all Australian Registered small to medium sized companies who spend a minimum of $20,000 on Virgin Australia flights. That includes codeshare flights with any of Virgin's international accelerate partners ( Air New Zealand, Delta Air Lines and Etihad Airways).

It's free to join and there is no ongoing membership fee. From there, using your membership is as easy as booking your flights with Virgin and inputting your membership details. Every time you book eligible flights for your travelling employees, you'll have access to Fare Advantage Discounts while working toward annual travel credits.

Benefits & Savings

As mentioned, Virgin Accelerate members have access to a number of discounts and benefits when they book eligible flights. One of the biggest benefits is the Fare Advantage system that allows your company to save up to 10 per cent on many Virgin Australia ticketed flights. With savings offered on Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class for domestic and international travel, you have the potential to rack up some considerable savings. Here's a look at how Fare Advantage breaks down:

Even better, with a regular schedule of promotions, your company stands to save even more during valid travel periods. Plus, with each flight booked, that's another Annual Travel Credit added to your account.

On every 12-month anniversary of your joining date, you will be rewarded with Annual Travel Credits that can be spent on Virgin Australia flights as well as international accelerate partner airline flights. All you have to do is meet the $20,000 minimum target for the rewards to start coming in. And, working on a tier system, the more you spend, the higher your credit percentage. It breaks down like this:
