JetBlue has laid claim to being the first US carrier to accept Apple Pay onboard its aircrafts.
That means that passengers who own an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and soon the Apple Watch will be able to pay for their in-flight snack and onboard amenities with their mobile Apple devices.
The service will begin on select JetBlue flights from New York to Los Angeles and San Francisco beginning this month.
By June, the service will roll out across the entire network.
To support Apple Pay, passengers will notice that their in-flight crew will be armed with iPad minis and NFC-enabled cases.
Meanwhile, in other mobile, onboard services, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Lufthansa offer wireless, in-flight streaming of movies, music and TV shows to personal mobile devices.
