Swedish lighting designer Wastberg is set to unveil a hybrid lamp and power outlet.
"Industrial Facility W152" is a modern monochrome lighting piece which rests on a base featuring three USB power points and provides a meeting point between lighting and electronics.
It can charge up to three devices at a time, detecting which needs the most recharging and managing the devices appropriately. Its output is up to 3 amps - enough to charge the latest generation of laptop.
The W152, designed in collaboration with British design studio Industrial Facility, can be used either as a freestanding or wall-mountable lamp, or be built into a surface.
The lighting component itself is interchangeable, with two options including an upright bulb-shaped lamp or a more traditional desk light. It easily comes apart to fit into your bag, making its chic design appropriate for travellers on the go.
Since its launch in 2008, Wastberg has gone on to become a key name in the contemporary lighting industry, collaborating with top figures in design including architect David Chipperfield, Ilse Crawford, Nendo and Inga Sempé.
