Open exclusively to RCI guests by 2022, the island known as Perfect Day at Lelepa will be the cruise line’s newest private destination. Located in Vanuatu, around 25km northwest of Port Vila, it’s set to be the only island of its kind in the world and a natural wonderland in the South Pacific.
Perfect Day at Lelepa will join RCI’s Perfect Day at CocoCay, a fun-park-beach-getaway-chillout zone on remote island in the Bahamas. With some stages already open and available for use by cruise guests, the official opening of CocoCay will be in December, 2019.
CocoCay has the tallest waterslide in North America, a zip-line across the island and parasailing on offer alongside more relaxing activities such as an infinity pool where you can laze on Lilos, or chill out in a hammock.
What we know about Lelepa so far is it will be an island paradise reimagined and have a different look and feel from Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Think crystal-clear blue lagoons, silky-white sand and colourful coral gardens.
Perfect Day at Lelepa will have a focus on sustainability to protect the island’s ecosystems and also be the world’s first carbon-neutral cruise destination. Created in partnership with the community of Vanuatu, Lelepa will highlight the natural beauty and local culture of the island nation.
Perfect Day at Lelepa is set to be an exciting and exclusive shore excursion for RCI guests crusising in the South Pacific and we can’t wait!
