 See Auckland from new heights

DAY 1

Arrive in Auckland and jump on the speedy transfer shuttle to your hotel: The Quadrant Hotel Auckland,
sitting just moments from the water’s edge. Take a short stroll to Viaduct Harbour for dinner before catching some much needed Zs in your Deluxe Queen Apartment, ready for a full day of adventure and excitement tomorrow.

DAY 2

You’re heading out onto the water this morning, but not for long! Make your way down to Wynyard Quarter where you will hop aboard an Auckland Seaplane, ready to take off from Auckland Harbour. From up in the air you will soar over the Island’s crater and the heart-shaped Lake Pukupe before touching down on Oneroa Bay off Waiheke Island – Auckland’s ‘island of wine’.

You’ll then be escorted to Oyster Inn for a three-course a la carte lunch (including a glass of bubbly, of course). Sit, sip and socialise for two hours before heading back to the beach where your seaplane chauffeur awaits. How’s that for a chew with a view? You will travel a different scenic route on the way back to Auckland.

 Kayak across Auckland's sparkling harbours

DAY 3

After a morning spent at your leisure, your afternoon will involve testing out your core strength. With an expert guide from Auckland Sea Kayaks at the helm, jump in your sea kayak and paddle out to Rangitoto Island – Auckland’s most iconic natural landmark.

When you arrive on the impressively sized island, you will embark on a one-hour trek to the volcanic summit where Auckland shows her true colours with a jaw-dropping sunset. Back on the water’s edge, a hearty kiwi dinner awaits. Eat up and gather your strength before you kayak back under the cover of darkness, where the sparkling city lights will guide your way home.

DAY 4

You’ll be given plenty of opportunity to find your sea legs this morning on a once-ina-lifetime America’s Cup Sailing Experience with the Explore Group. You will participate as part of the crew on board an actual America’s Cup yacht for two hours, taking the helm, working the grinders, or just hanging out on the portside if that’s more your style.

From elite yachts to speed machines, you will then spend the afternoon zipping around the Hauraki Gulf with Auckland Jet Boat Tours. Hold on tight as the skipper opens up the throttle, whipping the boat into 180- and 270-degree manouvers.

In addition to being seated in the splash zone as the jet boat fishtails around Waitemata Harbour, you will get a close-up view of Devonport and North Head, as well as zooming under the Auckland Harbour Bridge and past the Chelsea Sugar Factory to Kauri Point.

 Push your boundaries in Auckland

DAY 5

End your Auckland long weekend on an extra high note by making your way to the Auckland Harbour Bridge, where you can choose to climb the great arch or take a controlled leap with AJ Hackett Bungy.

Auckland is the birthplace of bungy, so there’s arguably no better place to push your comfort zone! Don’t forget to take advantage of The Quadrant Hotel’s free Wi-Fi and share some snaps of your exciting Auckland adventures.
