DAY 1

Arrive into Auckland and be whisked to your hotel with a speedy transfer. You’ll be staying at the Copthorne Hotel Auckland City, conveniently located just a short stroll from oodles of cafes, bars and restaurants in downtown Auckland.

DAY 2

Make a beeline for Queen Street (about 15 minutes’ walk away) where Auckland’s CBD cafes are in plentiful supply. Prep your bellyfor a deluxe wine tour with Fullers Auckland, combining world-class drops and the lush scenery of Waiheke Island.

You will swirl, sniff and sip at the picturesque Mudbrick Vineyard, coupled with stunning city views, before heading on to The Goldie Room – the island’s very first vineyard – for nibbles and another nip. Complete the wine trifecta with 5-star tastings at Te Whau vineyard, as well known for its grapes as it is for its spectacular views.

Auckland is a feast for the senses

DAY 3

Today presents a half-day journey to Kumeu Wine Country – Auckland’s heritage wine region. The township of Kumeu is just a 45-minute drive from downtown Auckland, awarding you plenty of time to sample the local drops with award-winning tour company Bush and Beach.

Your first stop is Soljans Estate Winery, where rich varietals meet modern techniques. Enjoy a Mediterranean-meets-Kiwi style lunch at the Estate before your second cellar door knock at the acclaimed Matua Valley Wines. En route to your final tasting at West Brook Winery, witness the stunning natural beauty of the black sand beaches of Muriwai.

DAY 4

Introduce your tastebuds to the tastes of Auckland city on an excursion with Zest Food Tours, exploring three of the city’s tastiest inner-city food hubs.

This small group tour begins in the heritage surrounds of Britomart – bustling with cafe-goers by day and barflies by night – before pushing on to the upmarket Viaduct Harbour and the revitalised eateries, open picnic spaces and markets of Wynyard Quarter. The afternoon is free, so why not make a reservation for dinner while you’re out and about?
