Once again Flight Centre has jumped on board (pun intended) to sponsor a heavy line up of Australia’s most exciting grommet (youngster) surfing competitions. The next one to happen is the Billabong Parko Grom Stomp happening on September 1-4 at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.

Not only is Flight Centre supporting the future of our country’s brightest surfing stars but there will also be heaps of fun stuff for those watching on the beach at each of the events.

Each day Flight Centre will be giving the day’s swell report the old school way, on a neat little chalkboard.

There will also be the chance to win up to $100 off your next Flight Centre holiday with a paper plane cash cube, and an opportunity to try out your dry land surfing skills by jumping on a mechanical surfboard. To top it all off we will also be giving away some cool little surf waxes because you can never have enough of the stuff.

The Billabong Parko Grom Stomp will attract the next generation of surfing talent from all over Australia to the Sunshine Coast in a bid to get their name etched on the winner’s trophy and get recognised as an up-and-coming talent in the surf community. The different divisions of the competition cover ages 10 - 16 years, separated by gender.

The competition is likely to take place at Caloundra but in the case of inclement weather, it can change to be anywhere between Noosa and Kings Beach. For information on the day call the event hotline on (07) 3030 6388 from 6:30am each morning to find out location and start time.
