Flight Centre's Danni Watson travels to Cancun in Mexico to enjoy the sun and fun. Danni experiences the water sports, the shopping, and the nightclubs. Danni also takes a day trip to the Isla Mujeres to see some marine wildlife.

Cancun is situated on the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, approximately four and a half hours direct flight from Los Angeles or one and a half hours from Miami.

Cancun is made up of one main strip of hotels. It which runs along approximately 15kms of man-made beach. The main city of Cancun is situated 10kms from the strip.

The nightclubs in Cancun are beyond belief. There are waterslides winding through the inside of them! Balloons and streamers cover the arena-size clubs. You will be entertained by an array of impersonators of everybody from Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Shania Twain to George Michael. There are also acrobatics and flying trapeze-men, flying through the clubs.

The majority of the resorts are all-inclusive, which not only means all meals included, but all drinks too. Whether you are in the mood for a three course dinner in one of the hotel restaurants, or a fresh pizza by the pool, you will not need to bring out your wallet for any of it!

There are all kinds of water sport activities, including jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boats and much more.

The shopping is amazing with a huge range of designer boutiques, popular chain stores.

The markets are fabulous. You're sure to pick up a tequila magnet and most likely be offered tequila by the doormen of each shop…even if it is 8am!

There are many day trips to be taken from Cancun; a popular option being a trip out to Isla Mujeres. It is approximately forty minutes by ferry to an island of beautiful beaches.  You make your way around the island on golf buggies. There is a turtle farm where you can get up close to the beautiful seals, dolphins and other amazing animals.

So, whether you're planning a relaxing trip, to take in the beautiful scenery or lots of partying, Cancun is the place to go!

So get out your sombrero, bring on the tequila and enjoy.
