Western Australian Law Student, Elisa plans to have a very special 22nd birthday; after winning Flight Centre's competition for a four-day Hong Kong holiday.
"I haven't been in contact with the Flight Centre store yet to arrange the details, but I'm hoping to go to Hong Kong during my University holidays in July. It actually works out really well because my birthday is also in July. So hopefully I'll have a memorable celebration," said Elisa.
The Perth local tells Flight Centre that she has been to Hong Kong once before but that was many years ago with her parents and she doesn't really have any clear memories of this great Asian destination.
"I can't wait to go. I think it's a really lively modern city with heaps to do; a really exciting place. I'd love to go to Hong Kong Disneyland; it would be so cute. Hopefully there will be some sales on also. I really want to go shopping, which my boyfriend is going to hate but I want to buy some clothing."
When Flight Centre contacted Elisa to tell her she'd won the prize, which includes two Cathay Pacific premium economy flights from an Australian capital to Hong Kong, four nights accommodation at the Mira Hotel and a Seafood Village Dinner Cruise, Elisa thought the call was joke.
"I was at home and about to head into University. I initially missed the call. The person left a message saying that they had some exciting news. I called back and I was like. 'Oh My God.' I thought it was a joke at first. I'd never won anything so big," she said.
"I then called my boyfriend and he thought I was joking also. He asked, 'How much is it going to cost me?' And I told him nothing. He's really excited now. He's always wanted to go to Asia. And this is perfect the chance to do it. We hope to possibly extend the trip and go to China or Tokyo also. Once you're in Asia, it's easy to go to other cities. It would be nice to make the most of it."
When she's not studying for her degree, Elisa loves driving down to Dunsborough, which is around 250 kilometres south of Perth, where there are many isolated beaches. She also enjoys heading into Margaret River for the wineries and the chocolate factories. Back in Perth, Elisa enjoys hanging out at Cottesloe Beach.
"There are some really nice cafes along the beach," she said.
