For 60 years, there’s been one place where friends and families gather to make their dreams come true. Forever touted as the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland Resort California has been sprinkling Disney magic since its opening day in 1955.

Now it’s time to celebrate like never before with the highly anticipated Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration. You’re invited to witness the wonder at the Theme Parks of the Disneyland Resort as three new night time spectaculars make their debut. Each one showcases the latest technology, immersive special effects and legendary Disney magic.

Disneyland characters Mickey, Goofy and Minnie are there to greet you.

Paint the Night is a state of the art parade designed to bring beloved Disney and Disney/Pixar stories to life with stunning colours, fun surprises and more than 1.5 million brilliant LED lights. The mesmerising parade tells eight different stories, each one represented by multiple floats, props and performances. You will be in awe of the intricate detail, from the hand sewn costumes to the extravagant float designs. Tinker Bell will lead the procession, followed by beloved special guests including Anna and Elsa from Frozen and characters from Monsters, Inc., The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Toy Story.  One of the highlights will be the impressive Mickey and Friends finale.

Disneyland Forever is a fireworks spectacular unlike any other. Be mesmerised as the night sky is transformed with breathtaking pyrotechnics and specials effects that will transport you into classic Disney tales. The dazzling show will feature favourites including Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Mary Poppins and Winnie the Pooh to name a few. For the first time in Disneyland fireworks history, Nemo from Finding Nemo will dance in the skies above Sleeping Beauty Castle. The multi-dimensional aspect of the show allows guests to discover new surprises depending on where in the park they are located when the show erupts.

Finally, the World of Colour – Celebrate! showcases the incredible story of Disneyland, beginning with Walt Disney’s incredible vision for the park. History unfolds with a symphony of music, water and larger-than-life images of Disney’s past, present and future. Starting with one special black and white cartoon mouse, you will learn about the golden age of animation before witnessing the birth of Disneyland including Walt’s famous opening day.

Keep an eye out for the talented “World of Colour” stars. The 1,200 dancing fountains generate excitement through their synchronized computerized movements. They’re all sitting just beneath the surface of the bay, waiting for the show’s biggest moments. To commemorate the anniversary, the World of Colour show also features Tony and Emmy Award-winning Neil Patrick Harris and the one-and-only Mickey Mouse as guest hosts.

The Diamond Celebration ends 5 September 2016, so don’t miss your chance to join in the amazing celebrations at the Happiest Place on Earth.
