Flight Centre Australia teamed up with three of Australia’s biggest lifestyle bloggers to plan the ultimate luxe Thailand trip and show us how a girl’s getaway is done. Geneva Vanderzeil (apairandasparediy.com) is an Australian DIY lifestyle blogger, based in Hong Kong where she runs her own studio, inspiring designers and clients with all that is crafty and colourful.

Determined to uncover Thailand’s hidden gems, we helped Geneva get off the beaten tourist track. The girls’ journey took them from Phuket to Krabi to Koh Samui. These are Geneva’s snapshots of Thailand.

Off to a good start, touching down through fairy floss skies.
 Secluded beaches

“My favourite part of the trip would have to be climbing up the limestone karst peaks to the view point in Krabi, from which we had the most eye-popping view across the local landscape.

“It was quite a daunting climb, scaling almost vertical rocks and tree roots to reach the jungle area at the top, and for a moment there we felt we might have to go back, but were ecstatic when we finally got to the top of the mountain.

“It’s proof that the best part about travelling is getting outside your comfort zone and doing things you wouldn’t usually do, because those are the times you’ll remember forever,” Geneva said.
