Summer in the city: New York this August

.........................................................................................................................................................

Make New York City your playground this summer

Every summer the New Yorkers escape the metropolis and head to the Hamptons, making more room for you in the city, and the perfect opportunity to sublet an apartment and live the New York City dream.

While the sun beats down on the footpath you can get out and enjoy the sounds, sights and flavours of the city. Picnic in Central Park, then get your air-conditioned fix shopping on Fifth Avenue, or in one of the city’s finest art galleries or iconic museums. Fill your days with cultural and culinary pursuits from tasting a classic New York hot dog to lining up for the latest pastry invention in Soho.

You needn’t miss out on the beach either. Take a day trip to Rockaway Beach in Queens or hop on the ferry and cruise down the Hudson River to Sandy Hook.

Adventure closer to home: take a ski holiday in Australia or New Zealand

.........................................................................................................................................................

Ski in stunning Queenstown, New Zealand

With winter on our heels, now is the ideal time to book a ski holiday right here in Oz, or just over the pond in New Zealand. Booking early means better deals on the best resorts, so all you have to decide is where and when you’ll go.

Ski season runs from June to August, and as for where? You’re spoilt for choice in Australia between Perisher, Thredbo, Falls Creek or Mount Hotham to name a few. In New Zealand, Queenstown or Coronet Peak are amongst the favourites; however, The Remarkables or Mount Hutt make for excellent snow playgrounds too.

Pull the ski goggles out of the garage and dust off your ski gear; the snow won’t wait!

Get a glow on the Gold Coast this winter

Shrug off winter on the Gold Coast

With an average temperature of 21 degrees Celsius from June through August, take an off-peak break and enjoy the Gold Coast with a light scarf on. Determined surfers can don a wetsuit and head out to catch waves without the summer crowds, or simply sit back with a hot coffee and watch the waves roll in.

The Gold Coast Hinterland provides a great escape too; take a bushwalk to explore rainforests and stunning national parks, or a relaxing drive stopping in at quaint mountain villages for Devonshire teas and antique shopping.

If you prefer your holiday to be a little more action packed, experience Hollywood on the Gold Coast at Movie World theme park. While you’re in the vicinity, you’d be crazy to miss out on visiting Australia’s biggest theme park, Dreamworld! And while you might not be game enough to get in the ocean, you can still get up close to marine life at Sea World Resort. With so much to do, the Gold Coast shines all year round!
