When you’re visiting a city as vast and as varied as London, it’s always a good idea to get the low-down from someone who has first-hand experience. A big fan of the bustling UK capital is Travel Expert Michael Dalton of Flight Centre North Essendon, Victoria. We caught up with Michael and asked him what he loves to do when he’s in London, as well as what’s new.

 A New Venue

The Walkie-Talkie is one of London’s newest buildings. It features great views of London, and several bars and restaurants are located on its upper-floor Sky Garden.

A Must-Attend Event

The English Premier League season starts in August and with six teams based in London, you should definitely experience the atmosphere of a match.

A Tour You Must Do

Buckingham Palace is open to visitors in August and September, so if you’re in town, you can visit the home of the Queen.

Something Different in 2017

The London Underground is the best way to get around and it is now open 24 hours a day on weekends – so you can live it up like a local!

A New Experience

If you have the slightest bit of inner-geek in you, you’ve got to check out The Robots exhibit at the Science Museum in Brompton, running through 500 years of jaw-dropping robotic history. It’s only open until Sunday September 3, 2017.

The Best Day Trip

A good option is a day trip up to Liverpool to explore the city and visit the home of The Beatles. While in London, you can also check out Abbey Road Studios and get a picture on the famous zebra crossing.
